The Canyon Lake POA has a five-member Board of Directors who are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the Canyon Lake POA’s business affairs. About Bill Van Vleet
Bill has been a Canyon Lake property owner for more than a decade. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Canyon Lake POA with more than 40 years of experience building and leading businesses. His distinguished career includes being a CEO for three successive technology companies and providing executive mentoring to several corporations, both in the public and private sectors. Bill has also served on the Canyon Lake POA's Facilities Planning Committee, Facilities Planning/Finance Sub-Committee, and Security Committee.

About Lainie Cooney
Lainie Cooney, a Canyon Lake resident for 37 years, brings extensive executive leadership experience to the Canyon Lake POA Board. She has served as a Chief People Officer and Chief Customer Officer for large organizations, overseeing budgets, managing operations, and driving strategic growth. More recently, she’s worked with high-growth tech startups to build nationally recognized brands. Lainie has served on several Canyon Lake POA committees, including Long-Range Planning, Parks & Beaches, and Youth Action. She’s also a member of the Yacht Club and is known for her family’s festive role in the Parade of Lights and the annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade.

About Terry Jarvis
Terry Jarvis brings more than 30 years of executive-level management experience to the Board of Directors, with a strong focus on strategic evaluation to assess opportunities for Canyon Lake. Now retired, Terry dedicates his time to two Canyon Lake POA committees, the Security Advisory Committee and the Appeals Committee, highlighting his dedication and investment in the Canyon Lake community. He is also an active member of several Canyon Lake clubs, including the Pickleball Club, C.L.A.M.S., YOP-C, the Yacht Club, and the Guild. Terry is committed to making sound decisions that positively influence Canyon Lake and is invested in security, fiscal responsibility, and club support.

Jeff Bill is an experienced professional dedicated to improving the quality of life in Canyon Lake. With over 30 years of experience in the environmental field, he has tackled water pollution in both the public and private sectors. Serving in executive leadership roles, he has led successful turnaround initiatives that restored failing companies to profitability. With a background in public safety, Jeff also brings a strategic approach to community security. In addition, he is also actively involved in local clubs and committees and is dedicated to building connections, representing all members, and supporting positive progress in Canyon Lake.
